Permaculture magazine and Permanent Publications co-founder, Tim Harland, died suddenly and unexpectedly on 30th September 2023, after a happy day working outside in his garden and woodland.
Tim founded this magazine and our publishing house 34 years ago, alongside his wife, Maddy. Their collaboration has produced 118 magazine issues to date and over 100 books, many considered essential permaculture texts worldwide, an immense achievement.
Why a Legacy Subscription?
Tim was a visionary and exceptional man, yet both modest and gentle. We plan to honour Tim’s lifetime work and build on its strong foundations. One key aim of this is to double the amount of subscriptions we have. Tim would be delighted to see his dream and work continue to grow in this way.
