Traditionally used in forestry for cross-cutting large logs these amazing saws have found a new niche with people wishing to process timber for firewood and also have obvious craft and timber construction uses. They are a great alternative to chainsaws being safer, more environmentally friendly and having the added benefit of keeping you fitter.
The Two Man Cross Cut Saw comes with a pair of beech handles and has special teeth set to work equally well on the push and the pull stroke. Available in a range of sizes (see options). As a guide the length of the saw should be twice the maximum diameter of the logs to be cut. Can be resharpened using just a large tooth file (see option above).
Blade sizes: 4ft: 1219mm (48in), 5ft: 1524mm (60in), 6ft: 1829mm (72in), 7ft : 2133mm (84in), 8ft : 2438mm (96in). Made in the UK.
